I enjoy my job, have many hobbies to occupy my time and creative talents, make time for friends, and, well, life is good. I think a special guy could give me a reason to smile even more.

I am a School Nurse, but please gloss over the notion that I hand out icepacks and “kiss boo-boos” for a living. I’m more involved in creating procedures and practices for the schools, being a part of the special ed team, as well as training endeavors and supervising. If you think you've had your fill of H1N1 news, please have mercy on me!

I have several groups of friends who get together to rubber stamp and scrapbook. (A scrapbook is typically a creative expression of a photo album.) Are you scratching your head, wondering why this is fun?

I put “walking” down as a hobby because I am rather fastidious in getting the AHA’s recommended 10,000 steps a day. A pedometer is usually lurking in my pocket. Swimming is also a part of my life.

I volunteer for a Golden Retriever rescue organization. I've fostered dogs, dog sit (a fundraiser for the group), and make home visits to gather information to encourage a good match between family and adoptive dog.

Music? 70s. I have favorites from years since, but road trips always include The Beatles, Eagles, Aerosmith, and Bob Seger. I’m not into ear shattering hard rock, and pleeeeease turn off the rap when I’m around.

I listed my interest on PoF as “dating.“ I hope my future includes a monogamous long term commitment with someone special. What I’m looking for is someone who can hold conversations on a variety of topics, can find humor in everyday situations, and can handle the pressures that life throws at you. Good verbal and written skills are a big plus in my book. I would like someone who views friendship and romance as precursors to intimacy, not the other way around.

Meeting for a cup of coffee gets my vote for a first date: non-threatening, no pressure... Besides, the aroma of good coffee is certainly enticing, isn't it?
