I am a single mom of 2 wonderful children (a girl ~12~ and a boy ~5~) Package deal here - not up for negotiation. I enjoy children - would LOVE to have more in my life (yours/"ours") - and am fascinated at their outlook on life. It keeps me grounded and puts my life in perspective.

Searching for that special someone who is: local - an hour away would be ok (I don't want a pen pal), near my age (I don't want to grow old alone), and prompts me to take a second look beacause of that initial attraction. Who can laugh and take a joke - too much serious sh*t in life…laugh when you can:)

About me: hmmm... I can be quiet and animated, shy and outgoing, serious and lighthearted, sincere and sarcastic, dancing at a bar or snuggling at home with a movie, family time with popcorn, hot chocolate and a board game or friends over around a campfire with a few cold beers...

I live by honesty, communication and loyalty. I expect the same from anyone I share my life with. I am a 'wash-n-go' kinda girl...jeans, T-top, scrubbed face and a ponytail. If you want to fight, you will win as you will be fighting alone. Words can hurt, well after the heat has died down. I have no talent at reading between the lines, and thrive on affection ~ don't we all ~ . The simple things in life are the best. As long as my basic needs are met...I am content.

Turn ons: flowers (with the roots - a guy bearing a gift of a live plant is definitely worth my time), he who stops and picks up that kitten on the side of the road, you don’t need to slay a dragon … but my prince WOULD get up and get that pesky housefly that appears when you shut out the lights at bedtime, and a guy that loves to cook (I can cook - I don’t enjoy it - I will gladly take my turn but would rather be on clean-up detail).

Peeves: those who use their car as a garbage can, cluttered floors (hate walking to the washroom in the night and stepping on a Lego), crooked wall pictures (not that I don’t have them – crooked eye :P – but if you are walking by, and happen to notice, feel free to straighten them out), people that run into a room yelling ‘guess what, guess what’ then proceed to share their 'gas' - not cute, litterbugs - it is just wrong, and people who grow mould in their fridge.

So, if you are into head games; please keep searching (I am taking this site seriously). If you enjoy the outdoors, and put your family before all else...feel free to drop me your line :)

NOTE 2: I have a car, but due to a slow in work I have chosen to remove the ins and store it in my garage for now. If we decide to meet, it would be the 'old-fashioned' kind of date (you picking me up at my door ;-P)

Coffee at the local shop, lunch at the park, or an evening stroll on the beach. I'm sure we could figure it out ;-)
