I collect shoes. Plato and Aristotle believed going bare footed diminished the libido and wearing shoes added to ones sexual power. Hence, my mission is not unfounded. Cooking is my passion. I have a serious reading addiction. A good book, a delicious meal, something tasty to drink, and the company of good people are all ways I enjoy spending my days (and nights). I frequent the gym (with regular maintenance the parts last longer), love to watch classic movies, go to the beach, attempt to play volleyball, enjoy the sheer pleasure of watching the wildlife while wandering along an unfamiliar road without a map. I can spend a lifetime drinking in the stunning sights of gorgeous California.

I love the outdoors, but my idea of camping is a hotel without a spa or room service. I heartily enjoy well written, clever, funny shows and movies. Of course, let's not forget the people who showed me that it is ok to hit your friend on the head with a shovel or a 2X4.... the 3 Stooges, the Marx Brothers, and most of the Loony Toons characters.

Ahhhh....music. Nothing in the world can generate such a wide range of emotion. It evokes heartfelt tears or the radical impulse to dance madly around the room....but, hopefully, not at the same time.
Although, sometimes people get that reaction from my more artistic endeavors in the kitchen.

Beyond irreverant, I hold politcal correctness in utmost disregard. I'm not crazy. It's more like 'slightly askew' or moderately deranged; but just a wee little bit; and just sarcastic enough to make life interesting...well, MY life, anyway.

I'm intelligent, artistic, charming, romantic beyond reason and passionate without compunction... Someone who can discuss the great issues of the day and argue persuasively in a game of Scrabble that 'grzke' really IS a container for used dental floss... Someone who recognizes it's the little things in life, whether humorous, sardonic or dramatic, which give it texture and meaning; and that if you obey all the rules, you miss half the fun.

Do you want me to tell you something really subversive? Love is everything it's cracked up to be. That's why people are so cynical about it. It really is worth fighting for, being brave for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk anything, you risk even more.

If you are as demented and twisted as I am, with a sense of humor that garners curious looks from others, well, it really doesn't matter where we go or what we do....does it?
