I'm pretty laid back and am not in any rush or on any sort of mission. I'm independent, a bit of a free spirit (white picket fences and I don't really get along), and believe that the world can be a kinder place.

I love Toronto and think the best part is the diversity of people - did you know we're now at 50% born outside of Canada? You can find me eating my way through the different neighbourhoods (did I mention I love to eat?), having beer or brunch on a patio, catching a DJ spin, spending a lazy day at Cherry Beach, destroying the opposition in volleyball, checking out festivals and art shows, banging on some big drums on a stage near you, spinning records with friends, getting almost run over by cars while commuting by bike around the city (yes, I'm one of those crazy people who bike in the winter too)...

I'm definitely a city person, but have also experienced the magic of sitting quietly on top of a cliff in the Yukon after a long day's hike.

Music is a big part of my life so I won't lie: I hope you love it too or would be open to me forcing you to listen to all sorts of eclectic stuff. I'm all over the place with what I like: lying on the floor by myself while listening to the warmth of Pharoah Sanders on vinyl, experiencing the sensation of having my mind (and hearing?) blown while seeing Flying Lotus live, dancing under the stars to Orchestra Baobab under the Harbourfront canopy, feeling free on the dancefloor at 2:00am as Dennis Ferrer is throwing down to the sweaty masses, sitting in a car for five hours in order to fuel my music obsession at Mutek, spending the workday with my mind half occupied by Gilles Peterson's selections via internet radio... Music feeds my soul - bonus points if you feel that.

I'm into people who are laid back, easygoing, open minded, intelligent, thoughtful, self-confident, generous, kind.. and definitely not those who are conservative/right wing (sorry, just sayin'!). I hope you have a good sense of humour, can laugh at yourself, are up for new experiences, and pay attention to what's happening in the world outside your backyard.

I've met a few nice people from here, but no real chemistry. I'm not actively using this place as a way to "look" for someone, more as just another way of possibly meeting some interesting new people. I don't do well with how unnatural and contrived online dating feels, so let's just casually meet and see if there is even any interest or chemistry before we call it a "date" - cool?

Also, if we don't seem to have much in common, I'm unlikely to reply (sorry!).
