I strike most people as the "nice guy." I love to smile, laugh and be funny. I can be shy at first, but trust me, I am worth the wait till I warm up to you. I don't really get mad easily and tend to be very easy going. I am not really into the typical "singles" scenes like bars or clubs. I would much rather spend time with my date in a place where we don't have to yell over the music to talk and aren't worried if the hours are slipping by.

Like I said, I am into a lot of different things. I do lots of outdoors stuff like hiking, camping, backpacking, backcountry snowboarding, regular snowboarding, biking etc... Sometimes I play guitar and write secret songs that I never sing in front of people. I have a small army of rc airplanes that I fly with my friends. I can be pretty handy sometimes too. I can fix your computer, fix your car and probably fix your appliances. I tend to amass knowledge about all kinds of random things that I think are interesting for a few days. I have tons of other hobbies too, but I'll spare you the boring parts for now!

I listen to a variety of music, but some of stuff on my playlists lately have been Pinback, Thrice, Minus the Bear, Explosions in the Sky, A Static Lullaby, Death Cab for Cutie, City and Colour etc... When I play guitar I tend to play music like the stuff Ben Gibbard writes or other acoustic stuff.

I work for an agency that designs spacecraft and such. At work I do mostly design and integration of reentry vehicles and small spacecraft. I love my job and I am finishing up a Masters degree right now in Aerospace Engineering.

First dates are usually at some place where we can get something light to eat, has comfortable seating and an atmosphere that facilitates conversation. A nice no pressure atmosphere is ideal for me so we can both talk and get a good sense of who the other person is and what they are about.
