Having recently moved back to my hometown in the St. Louis area, I am starting over and optimistic! My daughter will be a freshman at UCLA this fall, and I will sorely miss her. As an older-than-average mom I was extremely active in her life, and I have enjoyed every minute. But I am looking at "empty nest" as an opportunity - my options are limitless! I want to explore this area - it's changed so much since I left - and that's much more fun with someone. I love to entertain, to set a beautiful table or host a crowd - I even designed my home for it - but entertaining is a partner sport. Ultimately, I hope to find someone to cuddle with by the fire with a glass of wine, to travel, and play and generally write the "unwritten" rest of our stories together, but I learned from the first time around, to take care and not rush in that choice! Not a surprise, I love jazz, but anything with percussion and a good beat is an upper, and I love to dance! As much as I liked living in the Southwest's high desert, even in summer the nights were chilly. I really like outdoor evening concerts, walks, or anything to be outside in our beautiful warm summer nights. I'm looking for a partner to enjoy exploring, doing anything on either of our "interests" lists, or something new to both of us. For now, I want to enjoy someone's company, have a good time, and if something grows from that, it's great. If not, it will still have been a good time!

I'm open to suggestion - you probably know this area better than I do. A very first meeting might be afternoon coffee and conversation in one of the small towns in the Metro area (east or west wouldn't matter) followed by a walk somewhere near where we met - in a park, the botanical gardens, even the zoo, or down a street, stopping into any funky store or touristy site that caught our interest. All the while, talking and getting to know each other.
