I am a divorced man ( not recent ) who has "tested the waters" in the bar scene and didnt like what i saw. You meet someone in a bar and you already have 3 strikes against you...Your drinking( strike one), Shes drinking ( strike 2 ) and she thinks your only in a bar for one thing ( strike 3 )...Theres no way honesty, loyalty, friendship, or even love can develop under them conditions...Only false hopes and dreams. I want to be able to whisper in a womans ear and not have her cringe because of stale alcohol breath. I want to be able to stare into a womans eyes and soulgaze without the head banging music in the background. I want to catch a womans stare and feel that connection and just not let go and enjoy every moment of it

On a first date i think we should meet in a public place. Say a park, or a food court at a mall, or even a coffee house and just talk. If it feels right, we both will know it and then we maybe could go from there to dinner and talk more. After dinner we would part ways and maybe leave with a simple kiss or just a hug. Sexual tension should not even come into play the first couple of dates.If it happens ,it happens, but lets not let it distort our perceptions and ruin one chance to truly make a good impression
