I retired and divorced 10 years ago and moved to a secluded place in the country. I raise boxer's and also have beagles. I enjoy adventure travel and have rafted the Colorado river in the Grand Canyon two times. I want to go to Alaska some day and I would also like to spend the winter in the Rockies. I also enjoy going to the Smokey Mountain area spending much of my time off the beaten path. I like to cut wood for my fireplace and anything that has to do with the outdoors. I'm a country girl who learned at an early age that if you wanted something you had to work for it. I am a honest person and I respect the same from others. I have learned not to take life too seriously and not to sweat the small stuff. I choose not to have drama and comflict in my life. I have spent most of my life raising my 2 daughters who are grown now and are strong independant woman. At this point in my life I would like to find a man who doesn't need a woman but wants a woman in his life. A man who knows how to treat a woman and shows respect and in turn is respected. I'm not looking for a man to take care of me but someone to share my life with. I have decided this time I will not settle for the wrong man but would rather be alone. Being alone is what you make it but in back of your mind you know there could be so much more. The bottom line is I know that none of us are promised tomorrow and I try and enjoy every day and hopefully bring joy to others.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away!

I think that the first date should be spent getting to know each other. Just meeting for dinner would be nice.
