About Me
Recently I was emailing with a gal who told me that I was “not cool.” So after thinking about it; I decided she was right! I’m not cool. Here are all the reasons I can think of for being un-cool:
I don’t smoke dope. I don’t get drunk every week. My motor vehicles have insurance. I pay all my bills in full, on time, every month. I don’t purchase stupid stuff. I save for my retirement. I don’t call in sick to work. When you say “meet me at seven” I’m there at 6:50. I know the difference between (your and you’re), (ask and axe), (by and buy), (know and no) and (there, their and they’re). I went to college, I know who the Speaker of the House is, I can name all 50 states and I know what country I’m a citizen of.
Yes sometimes I come off as a “know-it-all.” It’s funny how the same people who say “don’t judge a book by its cover”; never open the cover… Maybe it’s because they can’t read!
If you are thinking about contacting me, I enjoy conversation with all kinds of people. If you are looking for a date; ask yourself: “What type of man do I want in my life?” If you want a reliable, responsible man who won’t sleep with your little sister, why are you showing your bra strap and twirling your hair in front of that un-employed “student/singer/cool-guy/insert your definition of loser here” who lives at his parent’s house?
One of my favorite quotes from history goes something like this:
“Associate yourself with men of good moral character if you esteem your own reputation, for it’s better to be alone than in bad company.” George Washington.
To an extent; that gal was right, by her definition, I’m not cool. By my definition; I’m not in bad company.
First Date
new in town and dont really know anyone. looking to meet people. only know people i work with and thats no fun! interested in finding someone who doesnt mind that i dont know anyone in this town. maybe just meet and talk over some simple food so we can learn about each other.
nothing fancy. couple of drinks and a burger? a place where the music is not so loud that we can hear each other.
