| | I was born and raised in the south, which is a good thing because I really am not a fan of cold weather. I have three children who all live with me. They are wonderful kids and keep me pretty busy but they are growing up fast and that leaves me wondering what will I do when they all leave home besides cry! Our pets are a part of our family also, we have a black lab named Lee; two 3 month old kittens named Munchkin and Raphael and their mom is Mollie. My church and my faith are very important to me and it is important that any man in my life be devoted to the same purposes. I know that God has someone special for me and that is who I am looking for. Any man in my life will have to accept my children and the amount of time that they are around. If he is selfish and doesn't understand the demands of children then he is not right for me. I have been divorced for a very long time and am not interested in playing games. I am looking for someone to be a friend first. Someone that I can spend hours talking about absolutely nothing. Someone that doesn't care if we talk about his golf game (or whatever your hobby might be), the kids latest adventures, what's going on in the world, or my pink and green polka dotted socks just as long as we are together. I really am not hard to please and am pretty easy going about most things. Someday I am moving to Hawaii (lol)even if it is only in my dreams!! Let me add....I am not a barbie doll and don't ever intend to be one again. Been there done that...would rather enjoy life than to spend all my time worrying if I gained an ounce or whatever. I do need to lose about 60 pounds to ensure that I remain in good health and I am working on that. However, if you are a man that is only after a trophy barbie and is not really concerned with the HEART OF THE PERSON then you just need to keep on a fishing somewhere else! I love to curl up on the couch with a good book and a blanket and watch movies; but I also like to get out of the house. I love taking pictures and riding around the countryside looking for interesting picture opportunities.

First dates are interesting to say the least, and I think that an activity where you can get to know the person a little is best. You can't really tell much about a person by watching a movie. Bars are out - I do NOT do bars. A coffee shop is a great place for a first date because you can spend some time talking with each other and not have to worry about someone needing your table. Bowling is a good activity for a first date because you can work off some of the nervousness and see what kind of sport the other person is. It doesn't matter if you are a good bowler; I am horrible at bowling but I still love to do it and have lots of fun! Festivals are also good places for first dates because there are always things to do and see and still you can see a little of the other person's personality. |
