About Me
VERSION 2.0: Isn’t the search for “THE ONE” a daunting task? It would seem so. To find someone who would make the stars seem brighter and life more fulfilling is a proverbial needle in a haystack. So as I dig through the hay, I should let you know that I'm a hopeless romantic who grew up on a family farm, and was instilled with an enduring sense of family and loyalty to friends by my parents and grandparents. I enjoy working outdoors, particularly in autumn, which is my favorite season. ... I have a deep passion for several things in life, including writing, baseball, history and movies. In regards to movies, you might want me on your team if you ever get involved in a game of "Scene It!". (I have a weird knack for trivia in general.) While baseball is my favorite, and I love going to Royals games, I enjoy a wide variety of sports and I love to play softball. As for music, I’m a big time channel surfer. It all depends on what mood I’m in, however, I probably listen to rock the most with U2 being my favorite band. In terms of travel, I've been to several states and I’ve been to L.A. and NYC on several occasions. I have also visited Europe, including Amsterdam, Rome, Paris and Zurich. One annual event I love to do with friends every year is check out the Kansas City Irish Festival at Crown Center and the Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs during the Labor Day weekend. Some of my favorite authors include Stephen King and Cormac McCarthy. ... I believe my friends would describe me as honest, loyal, smart, hardworking and funny, although a little on the sarcastic side. In a relationship I strongly believe in the importance of both people willing to share in the other's passions in life and being a good listener. In general I am looking for a girl who values honesty; is straightforward with what she thinks; has a good sense of humor; and who enjoys life in general. If I've sparked your interest then drop me a line. Like Forest always says, “Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get.” ... Oh, and I love Christmas and the color blue if you were wondering! :-)
First Date
I think the best thing is to share a quiet dinner at a cozy restaurant, or perhaps something at a coffeehouse, where you can talk and get a feel for what the other person is like. Then we could go from there.
