Hello,

I am down to earth, usually pretty laid back and a good person. I am passionate, empathic, and smart with occasional flashes of brilliance. I enjoy going out on the town or out to enjoy nature, but my home environment is very important to me and helps keep me grounded.

I enjoy art, science, movies, some television, live music, travel, cooking, photography and more. I can be a pain in the A*! at times and stubborn at others. (really pulling you in now huh?)

I am a “techno-winnie” to some, but I prefer being thought of as “nerdy but cool”. When I am not being way cool, I can be a real goof and seek a partner who shares aspects of my at times, totally twisted sense of humor. I like to invent and create and generally solve problems in my professional life.

I like classic rock, some modern rock, select jazz as well as other musical styles. Modern favorites include RHCP, Coldplay, and others. I am not a fan of traditional country music, although the Dixie Chicks are an exception. I am often not as clever as I think I am, but please keep that one to yourself.

Type “A” describes my personality and I tend to be confident without arrogance, and am biased to the dominant end of the social spectrum. I seek my counterpart who enjoys good conversations and can keep up during casual banter and related mental gymnastics. My best accomplishments to date are my daughter (21) and my son (23). My daughter is local but does not live with me, and my son is in the Navy, currently in CT.

I think a good first date (first meeting) is casual conversation over either coffee or a glass of wine. This is a great way to meet and determine if there is enough mutual attraction and chemistry to move forward with a real first date.
