NEWS FLASH (FILM AT 11):

I have a job! I have been constantly employed for over 22 years. I'm not a moocher!
I have a car! Not sure why that matters. It's a Jeep if you like Jeeps!
I own my home! Evidently it's good that you know I still don't live in my parent's basement!

Note: My "chemistry report" is wrong! I am definitely a family man (family first, then self, always), I LOVE KIDS, and have a high degree of self-control. Openness and self-confidence were correct.

Hobbies/Interests: going "up north", spending time with my family, talking in front of a roaring fire, walking, going for a drive on a beautiful day, digital photography, skeet and trap shooting, reading, writing, computer programming, and watching movies.

Goals/Aspirations: My #1 goal is to find you so I can get off this site! My #2 goal is to complete my Ph.D. in computer science. I am currently a third year student. I might change careers and teach at the university level. Just b/c I'm getting my doctorate doesn't mean I'm boring - just the opposite in fact, I've already learned that no one but me cares about all that technical stuff so I promise not to bore you with it! :)

What makes me unique: I "may be" a bit of a smart ass. I am sarcastic and very quick-witted. These three things tend to get me into a bit of trouble. Don't worry, I know exactly how and when to behave so I am not a jerk. I am great with parents and even better with kids (have I mentioned I love kids?). I just like having fun and being me. Other than family and friends, I really don't care what anyone thinks of me, i.e. I am my own person and not hung up on the opinions of others. I care very much about my family and friends, and LOYALTY is probably my best trait.

What makes me funny: I have a knack for making people smile and getting them to laugh. I can find humor in almost everything! For example, some of my "matches" were the following: 1) a much, much, much older lady, dressed in a hospital gown (yup, that's what I said), hooked up to a machine, showing some leg (so much so I was scared about the possibility of a catheter being visible) [DELETE]; 2) a girl, square jaw, wearing a S & M outfit (leather bra and panties, and knee-high "sh*tkicker" black patent leather boots) [DELETE]; 3) a girl who's profile picture was her in a wedding dress (I am sooo not kidding) - very beautiful but I don't see that attracting men (ladies, this translates to "run!" to us) [DELETE]; 4) a "girl" with an adam's apple (creepy) [DELETE,DELETE]; and 5) my own cousin - I wasn't prepared for that [DELETE,DELETE,DELETE]!. All of which made me laugh (and a few of which made me shower).

What makes me a nice guy: as much of a sarcastic, smart ass as I "may be", I am, at heart, a nice guy. I care more about what's on the inside than the outside. What you want is just as important as what I want. I understand that women anywhere near my age come with children and that their children come first - I expect and respect this as I am as the same way. It's the girl I am interested in, not how much money she has, where she lives, or what she does for a living, none of which define you as a person.

Music: Evanescence, Nickelback, The Smiths, Sarah Mclachlan, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, George Thorogood, Metallica, Apocalyptica, Any Classical Music, The Fray, Stone Temple Pilots, Saliva, and The Cure. Old school blues kick ass! I'll listen to almost anything!

It really depends on the person. I'd like to do whatever my date would like to do so she feels comfortable and is more likely to just be herself. I'd really just like to get to know the person, who they are, what they are like, what their goals/aspirations are, etc.
