I’m not looking for a princess, but the girl next door that can be counted on to be there as a friend, partner, lover, and confidant. Finding your match is about taking a chance and is a matter of fate, physical attraction and mental chemistry - right? A lot of the profiles from women have said they want a man who knows what he wants. So here are some things that would be nice to find in no particular order.

You are here looking to find someone to share your life with and support each other emotionally. No players please - even some guys have standards.

You are a giver and not just a taker and understand the idea of partnership, the concept of compromise, and that is what you want along with getting and giving respect, appreciation, desire, and passion. You are affectionate, adventurous (or at least want to be), sensual, sexy, spontaneous, romantic, like PDA and DESIRE to spend time together. You like the idea of feeling sexy and being desired.

You can take the lead or follow and like both in a relationship.
You may have kids (I do and they don’t live at home) and they are a huge part of your life but there is still room for someone special for you.

Hopefully, you eat meat, like most foods and like wine (preferably red), since I make it. And even though I make wine, I do not drink every day and practically never alone unless I cook something special.

You like to camp or are at least willing to camp and enjoy it several times a year and mostly for no more than a weekend. I like to stay at nice resorts too and don’t even flinch at the words “spa day”. You are happy to spend time out on the boat, enjoying the sun and maybe even fishing.

You are willing to let me smoke a cigar every month or two (yes, absolutely outside). It is something I share sometimes occasionally with my friends. No, I don’t smoke cigarettes.

You are comfortable with spur of the moment. Maybe deciding Friday at lunch to hop on a plane that night to fly to Vegas to catch a show or eat dinner at a great Chinese restaurant I know or one of your Vegas favorites.

You are honest and willing to trust that if we belong together there is nothing you can’t tell me. Lie to me and we are done and I imagine you feel the same (so I am actually 53 not 50 but changed age to increase statistical search odds - awe the geek in me comes out). Be sure you want the truth if you ask me a question. You know how to communicate and you can tell me if I inadvertently did something to make you angry. I am good at a lot of things including apologies but not mind reading.

You are considered by most to be pretty. The one I am looking for need not be thin as a rail but also not overly "healthy". You can't WEIGH more than me. Sorry if that sounds shallow or mean (not intended too) but were talking about chemistry both emotional and physical.

You may exercise on a regular basis but you will not expect me to head to the gym with you on a religious basis.

You are not a political extremist, animal rights activist, or an antigun nut.

A little about me.
I like to do outdoor things like ride my bike, hike, camp, fish and hunt. I love to cook and make wine. I would like to travel more both locally and abroad. Enjoy cruising the streets and windows shopping in small or new towns I have never visited. Can’t wait to see Dale Jr. win a race and for USC football games. I think most women’s tattoos and belly button rings are sexy but they are certainly not a requirement. What I do for work is basically build, fix or rebuild broken teams and change dynamics and help technical people understand business. Sounds very Zen-huh? Really it is about trust, honesty and respect. Also, I am currently working on a business plan for a winery.

Some of my favorite places are any wine area like Napa, Sonoma, Lodi, and Paso Robles. Yellowstone is one of the best places on earth but any place in the mountains with trees will do. Vegas, Tahoe, or the beach are always great? Africa is absolutely fantastic!!! Need to get to Greece and Italy.

I love to surprise people with something special and unexpected. Cooking a meal for friends and watching them be blown away by how good it is so rewarding. Love the sound of a wild turkey gobbling on a cool spring morning. Like TV, reading and conversation during the week and action on the weekend. However, I do have a DVR and know how to use it.

Also read in spurts and currently reading lots of books on starting a winery and winemaking including 27 CFR which are some of the regulations for becoming a bonded winery. The book Julie and Julia has been started. I blame Julia Childs for my cooking passion - lol.

These are some of the basics on me and what I am looking for in a partner. I am hoping that the right woman will take the chance and CONTACT ME!! My reason for requesting YOU MAKE THE CONTACT is not laziness but I want someone who said "yeah that's me" when they read this plus who knows what treasure is hiding out there without a photo posted? Isn't this about taking a chance?

Ahh, the first date can range from the simplicity of coffee to a little wine tasting and lunch or dinner or maybe a movie or some music. It all depends on weather, time, comfort, and chemistry. I tend to be extremely comfortable, so please feel free to say the trip to Greece is a little too much for a first date. I will understand.
