About Me
Wouldn't it be great to meet and feel that connection right from the beginning? It's exciting and fun when that happens and it's the start of what we're all looking for here, isn't it? I hope to find that special someone through online chat, sharing our common interests and maybe the beginnings of a spark.

Finding that chemistry, enjoying each other's company and being able to communicate - those are what makes a relationship that stands apart. Hoping to be so lucky!

My interests:

I love music. Melody and lyrics equally. Throw in excellent percussion - and wow – isn't music one of the best things in life! I've just discovered alternative rock and have a lot of catching up to do. I like Matchbox 20, Dave Matthews, Counting Crows. Have always loved rock and roll...am a Don Henley fan, like James Taylor, Karla Bonoff...Broadway musicals Les Miserables and Fiddler on the Roof. The title line above is a reference to my favorite song, Hello It's Me, by Todd Rundgren. I have ecclectic taste, but who doesn't like variety, especially in music?

Love movies. Especially comedies - silly, cerebral or physical. So hard to find a catch-you-off-guard, laugh-out-loud, milk-out-of-the-nose movie. Some favorites: The Pink Panther Strikes Again with (genius) Peter Sellers, Monty Python & The Holy Grail, The Three Stooges, Steve Martin in Roxanne. I also like character movies like Out of Africa (anything with Meryl!), dramas, biographies, quirky movies like Crossing Delancey or Say Anything; classics like Citizen Kane and My Fair Lady. I could probably enjoy more male movies like Pulp Fiction and the Godfather if introduced slowly and in small doses! TV shows - don't watch much now as there is little comedy and I get enough reality already. I miss old shows like Seinfeld, Frazier and Friends. (Notice most all of these titles are dated...I may need help catching up. What I need is a DVR! lol)

And books, like “Memoirs of a Geisha”, written by a man?! Can't be! It describes the heart, soul and mind of a woman. He captured women so beautifully. The “Kite Runner”, amazing, best I've read in years - well, at least the first half of the book. And “The Road”, a haunting and mesmorizing read. (Why am I reviewing books here? lol)

To me words can be moving and inspiring - whether in music, movies, books or conversation. I think most women want a man who can win her with his words. And I bet most men want a woman who can follow the Nike advice - "just do it" - less words, more action. lol. Best to meet somewhere in between!

Okay, I'm a thinker and a talker! But I'm active as well. I like riding bikes or skating at Riverparks, swimming at the neighborhood pool, hiking trails (esp. Telluride, Colorado), discovering a new food or wine or restaurant, attending a rock concert at the BOK, a play or musical at the PAC (Wicked was excellent!). I'd like to travel more often to new destinations, but also explore more of the Carribean and visit Yosemite again. Of course, all these things are more fun when shared with the right person!

Mostly I'm a homebody though. I love spending time at home whether cooking or working in the yard, chatting on the Internet or watching a movie. I especially enjoy sharing a glass of wine and good music while sitting by the fireplace with a friend.

I'm hoping you're that special man who wants to share the good things in life and who's willing to learn with me how to compromise about those bad things too! Let me know if you think we have possibilities...

First Date
We could meet at a coffeehouse or a restaurant bar to see if we have the chemistry and communication needed to move on to...dinner?
