I can't decide between Long-Term or Dating in the section; "I am Looking For". I suppose if Dating turns into Long-Term that would be lovely. I want to begin slowly and make a new friend first and foremost then take it from there... See if there are any embers to fan into flames as the friendship and knowledge of one another grows. Maybe I am being unrealistic. Time will tell... "Anyway, I have come to the conclusion that, “What Will Be, Will Be”. At this time in my life it is nearly impossible to make any major changes to myself, unless of course, it is for the good of all mankind! Ha! Nor do I require changes to anyone I meet. Each should be accepted for who and what they are. So, as long as you and I keep that in mind, I believe a best friend kind of friendship, romance, love and everything else will fall nicely into place if it is meant to be. We will either seek more of each others company or turn tail and run for the hills. I want someone who will be my first thought when I wake up in the morning and the last thought before I fall asleep after my head hits the pillow and someone who's eyes sparkle and smile when they see me or hear my laughter from across the room.

Life is short and the unexpected happens when it damn well pleases. Believe me I know! I plan to enjoy what time I have left, and along the way, if I find someone who wants to tag along, so much the better. Surely, I will make some great friends long the way.

About me… I’m fun to be with and have confidence I will be a great catch for the right someone someday! I play with the exuberance of a two year old 30% of the time, while being a socially acceptable proper Lady Citizen the other 70%. I have a gift for getting people to smile and laugh even when they’re blue. I can cook, paint, crack a joke or two, pack a car so that every single spot is utilized, fix stuff, “knock your socks off” kiss, hang tile, give a decent back rub, bait a hook, remove fish from said hook, listen with empathy, start a decent fire outside or inside (a fireplace of course!), chew my food with my mouth closed and dress to the 9’s in that sexy little black dress. I am modest yet bold and confident when deemed necessary. I will go out of my way to help others but I am not afraid to let someone know they need to help themselves… I am not a girly girl princess type, so if you are looking for a “Drop Dead Beautiful" "Bimbo" "Stepford Wife” type, look elsewhere. I am more like a well rounded “Jill of all Trades yet Mistress of None!” with a kind heart. I am witty and smart with a lot of common sense and a great sense of humor. I believe laughter cures most if not all ailments!! I’m hoping to find some of the same qualities in a best friend who may one day be my significant other….. Wow, wouldn't that be the best.

Oh, one last tid-bit, it is important that you know up front that I have 2 kids (10 and 12). If that's too young for you I understand completely, after all, at our age your kids are probably out of the nest and well on their way to living their own lives. I am not looking for someone to help with this as I am doing a fine job by myself. This search is for me not them. It is rare to find someone at this stage of the game with young kids. Since I am a widow, they are with me 24/7. Now, that's not to say I never get out, yet there are times when I just can't. This is where acceptance, support and understanding from my 'friend' should come freely and willingly. Where there is a will there is a way...

Meeting for a cup of coffee (or beverage of choice) is fine. Actually I like festivals, museums or an afternoon/evening at a vineyard, go for a walk, something that is fun and relaxing with lots to see and do while strolling along and stopping to chat now and again.

Perhaps the key is that first kiss! Hmmmm..............
