Hi! Thanks for taking a look! My name is Phil and I'm a nice, normal, FUN teacher who's been looking to find that nice, normal, fun girl-next-door with whom I can share a genuine brand of mutual appreciation, affection and romance. Yes, I'm 47, but I PROMISE you that people who know me but might not know my age ALWAYS guess that I'm younger, usually mid/late 30s. I'm a tall (6' 3"), athletic, articulate, well-educated, well-spoken and well-mannered fella with no kids, ex-wives OR baggage of any kind - no, really! I have short brown hair and hazel eyes and have gotten the "how can you be single" question quite a few times. I am an elementary school band teacher - I teach 4th and 5th graders how to play all the band and orchestra instruments in four area elementary schools! I love my job and absolutely adore my kids. I'm very musical and have done (and still do) many musical things along with having some interesting musical family heritage (at least I think so!). I have a VERY laid-back cool cat, so you probably should be at least a kitty tolerator if not a kitty lover.

I grew up in College Park, but I now own a nice, three-story townhouse in Germantown. I'm financially secure, intelligent, non-smoking, active, musically talented and optimistic! I really do believe that I fall into the "great catch" category, but that's for another to decide. I am VERY affectionate and VERY romantic - I believe that both the guy AND the girl should partake in the little affectionate things in a relationship (been in relationships in which it was just me on the affection and romance side).

I'm aware that many (probably most) women list "sense of humor" at the top of the most appealing aspects of the guy they're looking for and I want you to know that I'm not just saying this just to sound good, but I WILL make you laugh! And naturally, too. If you're trying to force being funny, you're not funny. My sense o' humor (sarcastic and sometimes dry, yet intelligent) is one of my best qualities and that includes the ability to laugh at myself (it sounds trite, but it is oh-so true!). Forced humor is not in my contract.

Stuff I like to do: I enjoy (big inhale) golf, camping, karaoke (I do sing well), volleyball (been in leagues), ice-skating (grew up w/ a rink a half mile from home), bowling (my redneck gene), working out, skiing (even though I haven't been in a while), riding my motorcycle (safely!), cooking (especially FOR someone - wink, wink, nudge, nudge), dining out (who doesn't?), traveling, the beach, sunsets (corny but true), watching football and basketball (Go Terps and Skins!), ROLLERCOASTERS, visiting my mom and playing my bass guitar! (I actually play many instruments).

That was all in one breath.

Here's YOU (hopefully): a very articulate (big with me), intelligent SWF between 31 and 45 who is genuinely funny, PLAYFUL, romantic and affectionate. (I'll throw in "touchy-feely" cuz I am too, but in a reasonable, affectionate manner) You're really cute, you don't smoke and you believe in being in shape and taking care of yourself. If you're divorced, you didn't get divorced because you cheated on him. You don't have kids, you don't play games, and you have a slender or realistically average physique but you could also be considered "curvy".
