My hobbies include reading mostly historical fiction, and fiction. I also love to camp, travel, and see live music and cultural events around the city. I’ve traveled extensively, and have always been fascinated by other cultures and religions. I spent some time living in both India and Nepal in order to learn more about Tibetan Buddhism, and Tibetan culture. I currently work as a teacher at a private school. My job allows me a great deal of creative freedom, which is fulfilling and exhilarating. Down time is important to me. I need to be around nature, I love doing yoga and being outdoors, and to top it off, I have a fabulous golden retriever.
My goals and aspirations at the moment are to continue to develop myself, finish my Masters, and settle into a stable relationship. I identify as a soft butch, and am attracted to beautiful, smart, and flamboyant femmes. Kindness and compassion are as much of a turn-on as quick wit and banter. I also love small dive bars in the city, and of course, Cubbyhole. I’m always game for some art house film, a used bookstore, and great conversation.
I’ve been told I’m unique, witty, and charming. I like to think of myself as a good balance of ying and yang, someone who loves her friends, and loves life. I’m an adventurer at heart.

A perfect date would be a great organic or Indian meal somewhere in the East Village, then a walk through the park, with the anticipation of a goodnight kiss. I enjoy really getting to know someone, and am a bit old-fashioned, and chivalrous. That aside, I love to engage in interesting, sometimes outrageous conversations, and I love photography.
