I believe life can be better when making memories with someone you love, so I am giving this a try. No rush, but if something 'clicks', great! I will hopefully be updating from 'separated' to 'divorced' in a few months if all goes according to plan...just not done yet.

I live a nice quiet life in the country, as I am not a big fan of cities and crowds. I have a small business and work from home, and really love the freedom, not to mention the short commute. Downside...not much in the way of office romance :)

I am pretty much a B-Type personality; steady, easy-going, patient, happy and optimistic. I laugh easily and like people who are upbeat and take things in stride. I consider myself to be truthful, honest, faithful and kind. I keep life simple and am not into surrounding myself with lots of 'stuff'.

I can speak in multi-word sentences (no grunting!) and am also an attentive listener. I recently started learning watercolour painting (always fun trying something new), but I also have all the normal guy genes and like wrenching and riding my old motorcycles, playing tennis, etc. (yes...I even know difference between genes and jeans! :)

Being a a rational thinker, I don't 'do religion' and probably won't be compatible with someone who does. Nothing wrong with a controlled touch of spirituality of course :)

Miscellaneous useless information: I am a dog guy at heart, yet I have a cat. He came out of the forest one day and adopted me, what could I do?.

The Fine Print: It probably goes without saying, but I just cannot get involved with anyone who has an unhealthy relationship with alcohol or drugs, food-issues, or self-esteem issues. Been there, done that, was not fun. I have learned the hard way that no amount of love can cure these things, so if any of that sounds like you, I feel sorry for your problems, but please don't bother.

Hmmm...I could suggest something wildly original, but lets face it, a first meeting is probably going to be at a coffee shop. Nice neutral ground and nothing to get in the way of conversation, so it's hard to beat.

After that, dates I would find fun would be seeing live theatre, taking day trips, hiking, cruising antique shops, taking dance lessons (yes, I have a little rhythm), going to a museum or cultural festival, picnics...that type of thing. I have no problem relaxing at home either, curling up on the couch watching a movie or just talking.

On the 'not so much' list, I don't 'party' or do the bar-scene, nor do I hunt/fish.
