I'm a 48 year old widow who would like to have a long term relationship with someone who isn't bogged down with his past. I don't particularly want to marry again but I enjoy sharing things with a partner. I love politics (I'm very liberal) and a good debate/discussion. I'm crazy about Van Morrison and often travel to see him and my group of "Van" friends. I enjoy many things including golf, walking, dancing etc... but I'm perfectly happy to spend a day or two or more reading a good book, I can't imagine being with someone who doesn't enjoy reading.

On a first date I would like to start to get to know the other person through conversation so going to lunch or dinner would be preferable than going somewhere where you can't talk i.e.: a concert, movie etc. . .
