I am divorced with no children (except two felines), but was a step mom to a small boy when I was married and living in Boston. I live in North Dallas (Addison area), own my own place and work in legal in the private sector (after years in the large law firms) and love my job. Even when I take a couple of days of vacation I can't wait to get back to the office. So, I guess I would have to say that one of my hobbies IS my job. Not to say that I don't enjoy getting together with friends for a drink, dinner or a party. I do! I have a cynical sense of humor and will always look for something to laugh about. Most of my friends will tell you that if they had to sum me up with one attribute, it would be my ability to make them laugh. Although I grew up in E. Texas and have lived in the Dallas area since college, I lived in Boston for 12 years and did a lot of sailing to and around Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard. I am fascinated with the paranormal but do not practice. Strictly a viewer from this side of the TV screen. I love crime shows, particularly forensics, comedies, the History channel, Fox News (Hannity, Glenn Beck, etc). As far as music goes, I love rock of the 70s & 80s, blues, country and classical. Lately I've been listening to John Mayer, David Cook, Doughtry and Beth Hart. If you are familiar with her, you score points with me. I also have a huge interest in the political debate in this country and where this administration is taking our great country in the future. Can I just say that I am OUTRAGED!!! I am perfectly willing to discuss any differences; however, I have very little tolerance for what is happening with our civil liberties. If this offends you, move along. Hope I haven't offended anyone with my views, but I will not apologize. AS AN ASIDE: Due to recent interests from other POF members, I MUST emphasize that I am a Christian and love my Lord Jesus. If you do not agree, please move on and I pray for your soul.

First date is not the same as a first meeting. First meeting would meet for a drink and see if there is chemistry. Go from there.
