About Me
I am straight forward. I don't hide a lot. If you have any questions, I will answer them honestly.
First thing's first. I don't respond to people that don't have pictures. If you aren't comfortable showing your pic then you aren't the type of woman I am looking for.
I know that I look a certain way, but the way I look does not define who I am. People do not look at me and say to themselves," Now there is a man that is a lover of fine wines." (I enjoy expanding my palette, I wouldn't say I am a connoisseur though) I do not conform to common preconceptions people have of me. I feel this needs a little more explaining. I like piercings. I like tattoos. I like rock music of most varieties. I like most of the things that make a "Bad-ass" guy, A "bad-ass". I am not a bad-ass. I like Frank Sinatra. I watch romantic movies by myself. I even watch musicals. I DO NOT BIAS MY LIFE EXPERIENCES BASED ON THE PRECONCEPTIONS OF WHO I HANG OUT WITH OR HOW I LOOK. I enjoy new experiences and try new things based on my interest in the experience itself. I went to a disturbed concert one day then the Wichita Symphony Orchestra the next. I have noticed that a lot women are attracted to the way I look but when they figure out i don't act like the normal way a guy looking like me acts they drop me like a bad habit. I am ok with this. I am looking for a woman that can look past physical appearances to get to know the person behind the looks.(heady stuff, I know.)
I am a bit of a hopeless romantic. I prefer craft and import beer over domestic, wine over beer(usually) and mixed drink(mainly vodka tonics) over straight liquor.( I drink often but in extreme moderation, I tend to be the DD for my friends) I prefer Sinatra to Jay Z, Disturbed to Garth Brooks, and Alice Cooper to Ozzy. I am just as happy watching Bruce Willis being blown across the silver screen as I am watching Josh Hartnett woo a woman in a socially awkward situation from the comfort of a couch with a bag of popcorn.
I would love to find someone to learn to dance with. From the waltz to the foxtrot to the tango. I am working on getting in shape. I am not a superficial person, but I would like to find someone that is beautiful (by my standards), and I want to be able to look good for that person in turn. I believe this shows a desire for the person on a subconscious level. I understand that physical beauty is transient. That doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy it while you can.
I love going out and trying new things anything from foreign food to crazy experiences like skydiving.
The little things matter. An unexpected compliment goes a long way with me. Noticing when I have put that little extra effort into something I do for you is all the I need from time to time. I will always try and do the same for you.
I am not out to change anyone. And I am not an easy person to change. If I feel the need to change you, that just means that you are not what I am looking for. This isn't a bad thing. There is always a certain amount of compromise in a relationship, but if you have to change the way you act, the people you hang out with, the way you dress, the things you like to do; just to be with a person you are making those changes for all the wrong reasons. I am willing to wait for the right person. I am willing to expose myself emotionally to make sure that the person I am with is the kind of person I can be with without having to change them and having them feel the same about me.
First Date
For first dates, especially if I don't know the person very well, I will do something that gives us time to get to know one another. Dinner and a coffee afterward. If the weather is nice maybe a picnic down on the river front. I try to avoid movies and concerts to begin with.
