Okay, here I am. I choose to believe that my hair is not quite as 'white' as these pictures show, but I'll let you be the judge.
Regardless, I am in my mid-fifties and enjoying life, whether my hair is white, grey or purple.
I suppose when I was younger my expectation was that by this stage of my life I would be settled into a comfortable life - married, with grandkids around and easing into retirement - but that's not exactly the path my life has taken.

That's okay! It's all good. Life is about the journey, not the destination. (And sometimes it seems the only 'constant' is change.)

I enjoy my life, but it would be beneficial in the holistic sense of good health if I could expand my social network, so I'd like to have a few more friends in my life. If something more serious develops in terms of a relationship, well that's okay too.

Recently, I 'reinvented' myself and started a new career as a care giver to seniors. This work is quite different from the 25+years I spent as a writer/producer/director of corporate communications and traing videos and selling/designing and installing audio/visual systems. There was also a stint in there as an editor of a nationally distributed trade magazine for professionals in audio/visual.

So my new career requires working on-call and shift work, and that can have an impact on one's ability to get together with friends at conventional times, like a weekend.

I was married for 17 years, and my wife died over 15 years ago. Among other benefits of that experience, I learned that I can love and that I am worthy of love.
I am confident that there is another woman out there for me, and am eager to meet her.

If not, we may at the very least be able to become good friends.

I can laugh at my own foibles and mistakes, and don't mind if you do as well.
