Hiya!

About me:

I've always been the one who could fit into just about any group of people, once I get to know them. I played on the soccer team, chess team and worked special effects for our high school band all through high school. It was a running joke that you never knew where I would turn up next. I loved to get out there and try new things, and still do to this day. I've moved around the states a bit, I've enjoyed seeing the different cultures within our own country and now I'm ready to settle down. I've been in Michigan for almost two and a half years now, and it's nice to have all four seasons once again!

I have a day job, a nice little Monday - Friday deal that I've held for over eight years, which leaves me plenty of time for hobbies and hanging out. I also do play soccer a couple of times a week, and ice hockey. When I'm not out playing sports, I like to catch the Tigers or Wings on TV, play around on the computer a bit, read a book or just lounge around catching up on TV shows. I'm a pretty casual, laid back sort of person, though I definitely can step up a bit if the occassion calls for it. I'm definitely not a fan of the bar scene, and prefer to stay away from places full of smoke, just a personal preference.

I do love old fashion carnivals, just about anything in the water, checking out new places to eat of all sorts, seeing new places (being new here has been quite the adventure!), finding new music (live or otherwise) and whatever else comes up that I haven't done or have done and enjoyed. Oh, and road trips are definitely fun.

Who I'm looking for:

I'm looking for someone who knows where they are headed, and is looking for someone that fits the description above. I realize we can't plan every step out, and I would definitely be in trouble if we could, because I do enjoy a certain level of surprises, but night and day changes aren't what I'm looking for. Please know yourself before you try to get to know me.

I'm also looking for someone who enjoys staying in just as much as going out. I like to have those times when you just get to know each other that bit more, or simply curl up and watch a good show. I'm definitely looking for someone who wants to be involved in my interests, as I would be in yours. If you play sports, I'd be there to cheer you on, if you play music, I'll be right there in the crowd listening. I do feel that taking an active part in the things that make us tick helps grow a stronger relationship. On the flip side, I would expect there to be time for personal space. No, I don't want to be with you every waking moment like a shadow.

What I am looking for in a relationship:

Well, to say it first, I'm not looking for a fling. What I am looking for is a partner who I can share my life with, and who wants me to be a part of their life. I'm looking for a relationship of two people who are individually strong and want to build a strong and healthy future for each other. I'll be there when times are good, as well as when times are tough, and I'd hope the same is true of you. I feel that relationships don't just happen, they grow if they are properly nurtured.

If that's you too, then we'll have a good start on things! I'll one thing in closing: I'm slightly shy, and rarely reach out first, but given a chance, I'll definitely talk.
