I am happy and enjoy life. A sense of humour is important to me as it helps to keep things balanced. I love to spend time with family and friends; enjoy trying new restaurants; live theatre; reading and cooking. Family is important to me. I am honest, trustworthy, gentle and kind and I ask the same of others. I believe that we should live each day to the fullest. I would like to meet someone who appreciates both the ups and downs in his life but does not carry a lot of 'baggage'. I like to try new things and would like to do some travelling. I love my job but never bring it home with me. I look forward to retiring in the near future.I like quiet times in front of the fireplace or sitting on my deck with a glass of good wine. Although I am basically shy, I am more comfortable in casual situations, I do enjoy 'dressed-up' occasions. I believe that you are only as old as you feel you are. The lessons we learn in life are what make us who we are.I've learned lots of lessons but don't look back, only ahead.

I believe that the first meeting should be after we have corresponded a few times- either by e-mail or phone and so then, it would be wherever we decide together.
