Friends say I am a good listener, honest, enjoy life, and can make them laugh. My mind-set and outlook on life is much younger than my chronological years. At heart, I guess I still have some of the nonconformist from the 60s in me. Although I dream of winning the LOTO, my financial reality is average. I am not affluent nor do I ever expect to be (unless I win the LOTO.)

Those of you have taken care of a functioning alcoholic and enjoy that life style or use recreational drugs, I do not “hangout” or go to clubs. If that is what you enjoy, save your time and please go on to the next profile.

Knowledge and intelligence have great value to me. I work in the field of education and do not need nor do I want the above types of life-styles in my life.

My philosophy (educational and personal) is best described as: pragmatic/progressive/realism. My IQ is in the range of 127 to 130. At times I over think things and perhaps that is why I feel clumsy writing all of this?

I love to work with my hands, my mind, learn, explore new things and expand my knowledge. One of my favorite movies is “A Beautiful Mind.” Other favorites include: K-PAX, Harvey, October Skies, the “You’ve Got Mail” movies, and movies with moral lessons. I also enjoy watching old time movies (TCM) and Westerns.

I maintain the Midwest values and morals of my youth. I vote for the individual not the party. I do not listen to “Rush”, nor do I like the things floating around the Internet casting dispersion upon the individual holding the “Office of the Presidency.” I also think “the party crashers” should be sent to jail - for years.

I have two daughters and two grandchildren and I hope the woman I find also has children.

I am looking for a woman with high purpose of achievement in her work, has an adventures spirit, is self-confident without being domineering, and is NOT co-dependent. A plus would be if you enjoy shopping for beautiful lingerie at Victoria's Secret.

I believe lasting relationships are based on several things, one of which is a close physical resemblance of facial characteristics. (If you look at many happy couples, you may see the same thing. I think it has a great deal to do with the reflection one has seen all of their life in the mirror).

I enjoy working on the computer, learning about native American-Indian culture and their artwork, camping, hiking, backpacking, the sound of natural running water, photography, road trips on backcountry roads, and flying. I enjoy classical music, Jazz, alternative music, Rock/Roll, Blues, and with the exception of Hip Hop and Rap, I enjoy listening to any musician who is very good at their craft.

I have a small “shack” in the San Bernardino Mountains and enjoy the four seasons. I like to hear the breeze blow through treetops (not the walls), feel the warmth of the sun, and the sounds of birds in the morning and squirrels running across the roof of my “shack.” In the winter I love the color of cobalt blue in the morning sky after a heavy snow, and the warmth of the fireplace. (I have skydived 101 times, but never snow skied.)

Other things I enjoy are: long slow kisses, touching, tantric music, and wind chimes.

Being in love is the most beautiful and powerful thing in the world. What I find attractive includes: good conversation, having been in love before, a woman who is not ostentatious, makeup could be as simple as eyeliner and lip-gloss, and being comfortable in jeans and a sweatshirt. Other things include: knowing the pleasures of a night sky filled with millions of stars, a walk on the beach or a mountain trail with a full moon, or the sound of an owl across a ravine at night in the mountains.

Someplace away from the hussel of lots of people, someplace where I can listen and we can talk, perhaps a coffee house with acoustic music or a place out of the way with its own atmosphere. If the chemistry is there, several hours would pass like minutes and we would both wonder where the time went. If the chemistry is not there, we both would have met someone new.
