About Me
I suppose I fall into that category of the hazy/dream romantic that's looking/searching for one of those incredibly rare occurances (especially here in the City) where 2 people manage to lock radars between one another...knowing that you've both encountered one of those savoured moments you always day-dreamt of...
...and then I somehow manage to emerge from the slumberific thought and unwillingly tear myself out of bed and onto the new day...
For starters, I'm not really the type of person that finds myself lingering/socializing in Clubs or Bars that often (unless I'm coaxed well)...or loud parties. I just tend to become easily bored or tired of the scene... Don't know why. Just always been that way. I prefer to get away from the usual fare more often than not and to share in the discovery of something new with someone else.
I'm hoping to meet someone that isn't of the ordinary.. Someone that thrives on the odd idiosyncracies of this life.. someone a bit, well, unordinary. Perhaps slightly young-at-heart with a caring heart-of-gold, and a bespoke sweetness to match. Someone that thrives on nuzzling up during a cold night.. watching movies until we fall asleep. Someone that can see the beauty and sadness of a moment that most people would never be able to identify. Someone shy-ish in public, but not in private. Someone that understands the good qualities of a somewhat cynical (occasionally harsh) view but counters with an accompanying sense-of-humour. Perhaps someone with their own unique sense of style...
Music/Film-wise, I tend to be attracted towards the more intriguing pockets of options. A good Documentary is always enjoyed, but (sometimes) a not-intentionally-funny Hollywood big-budget film can hit the right spot (but not always). Music is a huge part of my dailies, but as listed above in my 'Interests' tag, I sway away from the modern-day top-40... *shudder*. If you've ever shopped at Scratch, Zulu or Redcat (or just own/have heard/enjoy the good 'n proper classics) then you'll have a fairly good idea of where my ears are leaning. Many many different genres/styles though...
I'm hoping to find a unique connection with someone that is, well, probably as shy as I am at attempting to even introduce myself to someone for the first time... (it's not easy sometimes)... but once the protective shells have cracked, we openly feel free to explore our (hidden) mightier sides...
First Date
This is completely up to both of us really... Coffee on a hillside? Indian..? Cookies on a train..? Conversate with some animals..?
