If your still reading... Apparently you have to sum up everything about yourself in this box?

Just to clarify "a few pounds overweight" = 9 pounds overweight (mid december 09). Have lost 33 (or 2 stone 5 pounds) so far...the rest of it will be gone soon! (and maybe even a bit more! ;))

Have spent last 15 or so years in Sheff and have owned my own home for just over 10!. Have my own car and my own hair (although not much of it as you can see - apparently its a sign of verility?! - must have been decided by someone with bugger all hair!). Have a job i love and its only two minutes from home - have real ambition but always make sure that work doesn't take over my life. As i love my job and recently got promoted moving from Sheff isn't really a option at the moment.

Enjoy the odd pint at weekends - however often one pint means many. Prefer pubs / wine bars to clubs these days. Am independent (can cook and clean for myself and do the diy - have almost finished redesigning, demolishing, constructing and finally planting my new garden) and have lived in a variety of places (italy, america, southern england and the midlands) over the years but Sheffield is my adopted home after coming to uni.

Born a southern and so support a distant footy team - Watford (its a family tradition! - sadly!!) - who i watch when i can. Am confident with people i know well but a little less so with others. Quickly come out of my shell with the right people or the right amount of booze. Am an honest (sometimes too honest - see the top of this email!) bloke with a good sense of humour if a little warped (and sometimes not always politically correct - so if your easily offended you need not apply).

Bad habits (probably not meant to put this bit in but no ones perfect!): Speaking without thinking, talking absolute rubbish (like all the above), talking too much (its a nervous thing), swearing (when strictly not necessary) and i'm sure there are a few more.

Good habits: Loyalty has to be number one (according to my mum! - and mum's know best), decisive, honest, loving, a gentleman (in truth a little bit old fashioned - in my book the man still asks for a ladies hand in marriage, opens doors etc.) and always understanding.

About Her: A nice young lady who is good company enjoys a drink (but isn't an alcoholic!), likes (or at least tolerates) footy and sport, enjoys dining out in good restaurants (recently went to Rick Steins - fantastic - love all cuisines but italian still wins - just. However a good curry never goes a miss) or who likes good home cooked food and likes travelling - particularly to exotic beaches (i.e Maldives). Last holiday was to Thailand (Bangkok and Ao Nang) and before that an adventure holiday in Sri Lanka. Went skiing with friends a couple of years ago and would love to find a girl to share a bit of an adventure. Am a non smoker and would prefer a woman who doesn't smoke as well. Prefer not snogging ashtrays!

Words of note: Not a big fan of dogs (of the furry kind!) as was bitten as a kid and they always sense my fear! That includes the little ones! Also whilst i like kids and would like to have some one day i'm not really looking for anyone with a ready made family. Sorry probably means i've missed out on a few good ones.
