Traditional bamboo tattooing consists of less pain due to the controlled motion of the hand of the tattoo specialist. Tattoos that are done using the bamboo technique are lightly pushed to penetrate the skin and not forcefully punctured.

Bamboo tattoos maintain their color particularly well due to the fact the skin does not bleed which allows the ink to settle deeper. Therefore tattoos done by bamboo do not require touch ups like an ordinary machine tattoos which results in a cleaner more detailed piece of body art.

The bamboo tattoo craft allows the skin to have a quicker healing process due to:
