About Me
I haven't really found these types of sites to be all that useful, so I'm more inclined to go for a "warts and all" profile just to see what comes than try a boring "best foot forward approach". I'm not perfect and I'm not going to try to pass myself off as such. I reply to every message I get because I think everyone deserves to be recognized. If you like what you see, it can't hurt to try. So message me.
I'm a 25-year-old Brazilian-American living in New Jersey studying Sociology at Montclair. I've taken somewhat of a leisurely approach to my education the last few years eventhough I've been consistently taking classes every semester. I can't say I would trade in any of my experiences over the last few years for a quick degree.
I like to write. My head is full of stories that I feel compelled to put down on paper. I hope to publish them someday. I want to work in non-profit and I do a lot of volunteering in my spare time. I've dedicated my life to helping other people. My philosophy in life is that anything of mine can be taken, lost or else screwed up by my own actions, but I can always find purpose and meaning in helping others.
As far as what entertains me, I like reading historical fiction and non-fiction. I want to go back and read more of the classics, but it's always just below whatever I happen to be doing on my list. I love movies, and in particular, I love good movies. I place a high premium on realism, which I've learned is a Brazilian thing. Still, I'm always willing to watch a stupid flick now and again.
I've come to realize that I need a woman who sweeps me off my feet. Chemistry isn't something I can explain or predict. There's no laundry list of qualities a woman needs for me to hit it off with her. But if I had to extract some qualities from the women I've dated, I would say that my ideal match needs to be smart, relatively pretty and with a good sense of humor. I'd prefer a woman who makes me laugh at her jokes, but I'll happily take one who just laughs at mine.
First Date
Describing what I would do for a first date implies that every woman would want to do exactly the same things. It's not about what I will decide for them. It's about what we would like to do together.
