About Me
Some random facts about myself:
I enjoy the act of making my life better almost more than I enjoy living the better life (i,e. cleaning, art projects for my house, interior design, buying new toys, etc.)
I have a firm belief that the things that we love to do are merely the things that can completely take over our awareness and take us outside of ourselves. For me, this includes art, design (computer aided or hand drawn), reading, good movies (Wes Anderson, Coen brothers, Spike Jonze, Charlie Kaufman and all their homies), working out (the best therapy there is), longboarding, hanging out with close friends, and many others...
I'm in a constant search for balance in all aspects of my life.
I'm kind of a goof, and I love being around people that bring out that side of me.
I love what I do for a living. Architecture plays perfectly to my strengths and my weaknesses. I'm always doing something different, day to day, and being mentally challenged every day (wait, what?) keeps me sharp.
I have two seemingly contradicting tattoos. 3 if you count the fact that tigers eat giraffes.
I can be kind of awkward sometimes. Other times, I'm everyone's best friend. Just depends on when you catch me (re: paragraph covering balance above).
Sometimes, I wish I was exceptional at one specific thing, instead of good at a plethora of things (many of which are utterly useless [like origami or the fact that I can always tell when someone famous is doing a voice over on tv]).
I love things that are simple, well crafted and elegant. This goes double for furniture.
I get anxious sometimes that I'm not living life to the fullest. Then I remember that being anxious isn't exactly helping me live life to the fullest so I get over it.
I believe that contemplating one's own death is sometimes the best therapy money can't buy (I'm not talking about suicide, just contemplating the fact that your life is destined to end).
Why harro, there. So, I'm Josh; 25 and single. I'm fun. Witty. Caring. I own a car, as I mentioned above (what more could a girl want?). I just moved down to Denver from Boulder to start learnin' again in the Fall. The person I'm looking for should be kind and caring, first and foremost. They need to have a similar sense of humor. Intelligence is a must (and also incredibly sexy). They need to love music. Not necessarily the same music, but a love for music is needed (be cautioned: I will judge you on the contents of your ipod). I'm also interested in eastern philosophies (Buddhism and Taoism) so it'd be nice to find someone who questions things in the same way (or is at least interested enough to hold up their end of a philosophical conversation [And did I mention I'm a fan of parentheses? And whatever the squarish one is called. He can hang, too -->]).
First Date
I'm still exploring Denver. Maybe grabbing a cup of coffee after a bike ride or go out for dinner and drinks.
