About Me
I'm widowed with way too much time on my hands. When meeting, would like to just find out who you are & what you like & want in life. It would be nice to start out with seeing if there is a friendship (with any luck, maybe a "click), but basically, it's great to make a new friend.
Hobbies-reading, creating fractals (art design), caring for my plants, art of all sorts (particularly art deco), music (almost everything but don't like hip-hop, rap, heavy metal), enjoy cooking, exercise daily approximates 2 miles -like to keep fit, yoga, swimming, tennis,dancing, running, aerobics, exercise.
Love long (or short) walks, long honest intimate communication/talks, enjoy cuddling.
Books-enjoy biographies, autobiographies,mystery, true crime, fiction, non-fiction, drama, action, self-help, computers, graphics, political discussions.
Music-Smooth Jazz (Kenny G, Chris Botti), Jazz- BB King, Louis Armstrong, etc., all of the oldies! Instrumentals-Piano, Sax, etc. Easy Listening of any kind, Blues, Some country-Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson,Marty Robbins, some 70s-mid 80s. ALL THE OLDIES**, Mo-Town, Big Band, Swing, Rock & Roll, Rock-a-Billy, Dixieland, Raggae, new age, classical,and more.
Sports-Enjoy watching baseball, football, ice-skating and Nascar.
First Date
First Date- Iced tea, coffee, soda, conversation, dining out-love eating out-BBQ, mexican, cajun, Italian, small intimate cafes or out-of-the way, little known places with good food. Did I mention pizza.
Some of my favorite local places to eat--Jack Stack (bbq), RJs (bbq), Alexanders, Mimi's, Cenzetti's, Bristols, JP Otts, Waldo's Pizza, California Pizza, Red Robin, Winsteads, Steak n Shake, Appleby's, Gomer's (great chicken).
Or movies, Kauffman Gardens, Nelson-Atkins, the zoo, botanical gardens, gardens, art galleries, museums,walk in the park, walking,talking and getting acquainted. Any quiet place where we can talk and get acquainted.
