Hello, thanks for taking a look! That headline is from a somewhat bubblegummy song from Michael Buble but I think reflects such a positive, patient outlook on this whole dating/mating game and I think he's got it right.

I've been told I should "fluff" this up some, but I'm not good at listing a string of the "right" adjectives to make the "right" impression... I'm pretty down to earth, honest and expect the same, no bs. If you don't stick to truth in advertising eventually the real you will come out... and you don't want that to be a surprise! (At least I don't). That said since so many guys here seem to fudge on age to be included in searches (don't know if the women are doing it too) perhaps I should say I'm really 78 but said 52 so I could be included in the under 55 search. But yes, those are my real pictures, recently as last couple months. ;)

I have a dry often sarcastic sense of humor which is sometimes offputting but keeps my friends entertained. I would enjoy someone who can find fun in anything - there is always something to be able to smile about if you have the right attitude toward life. How much more fun is Costco at noon with someone else who really appreciates those free samples?! :D I truly try to find humor, fun or what's positive in any situation. Perspective is critical in maintaining good physical and mental health - even when the glass is half/half you have to figure out how to fill it fuller rather than look at what's missing.

Friends(unpaid)describe me as loyal, intelligent, funny, sincere, articulate, creative. Fit and healthy, but not a fanatic. Love a nice bike ride or long hard walk in warm weather and sometimes jog if I think anyone's looking. I'm pretty versatile, just as happy at my favorite taco dive as a 4 star restaurant. I guess it's required to be able to go from black tie to jeans/casual on a moment's notice, I have a little black dress and I know how to use it, but, if after the black tie event the kids need to tp a house, I'm in.... I like watching sports, esp.if my son's playing. Addicted to Law & Order. Love Santana, classic rock. Most anything's enjoyable if you like who you're doing it with. I love big dogs, lost my lab last year and hope to have another in my life sometime. Unpretentious and sincere (not just acting sincere) and those are critical qualities (w/ honesty, humor) in a partner. I don't care if you drive a Ford or Ferrari, live in a condo or mansion, sent your kids to Harvard or CSUF - but must be self confident and would be the same person either way. Be happy with what you have or can achieve and who you are right now without looking longingly what you don't. I've been told I need to be more open minded, so I am now willing to date USC fans, hair optional, buzzed can be sexy, and grey's okay (teeth however, preferably the originals, are good) and if you like to bond with the couch in front of a good game, that's fine too (GO BRUINS!). (But if you're gonna watch the Lifetime Women's Channel, we're through....). As for "chemistry" I absolutely agree there has to be attraction, but the heart palpitating love at first sight version is rare... there's a lot to be said for intrigue, curiosity, respect and mutual interest and how they play out over a longer period.
And please -- be brave enough to date someone your own age!

Hmmm... keep it very casual, just a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. Just something to meet in person and see if we want a refill or not! Outdoors is nice. Unless it's less than 80 degrees...
