To tell my story and express my expectations is really hard to do, but the more you know up front, the better decision you can make. I'm a single dad of an eight year old daughter in which the sun rises and sets. I also have a 15 year old daughter who lives with my ex back in Texas. So I have two. I'm career Navy stationed in Annapolis and everybody knows that us in the military, we move so I will be leaving the area in another 2 years and some change. I can retire in 6 years but I'm not sure what I'll do at that point, guess that depends on the economy and, well if I have someone special, her too. I would like to finish college and get some sort of degree, own a buffalo, own enough property in a place it snows so I can ride around in a one horse open sleigh, watch the sun rise from one porch on my house, and then watch it set from the other side in the evening. I'm originally from Texas so, Southern by birth, Texan by the grace of God. I like to wear boots and jeans, and yes, I have two hats and like to wear them too. I volunteer with the local fire department and I am active with the local scout troops. I work for myself on the side, and there are times that I am so busy, that yes, my weekends are almost shot. I enjoy being outside, love to camp, love to fish, like to hunt when I have the opportunity. I like to hike and go backpacking in the backcountry. When I retire, I would like to retire in Colorado, Nevada, South Dakota, well, somewhere out there where the seasons still exsist, I can still get a good Winter snow, see the leaves change in the Fall, and watch the flowers bloom in the Spring. I like Western Art, collect old military uniforms, books and coins. I also collect old scout books. I live simple and don't require much. I drive a 2001 GMC truck and plan to drive her till I can't buy parts to fix it anymore. Nothing is wrong with it at this point, but it has been a great truck and I don't give her up. I believe that God has a plan and everything happens by his hands. I don't get to go to Church nearly as much as I want to because I work on the weekends. I have been on the receiving end of cheating, been disappointed, lied to and had my heart stomped on. I'm over that, I am so much more careful and won't take a chance if I have any doubt. We only live once, and I don't want to make the mistakes that I have made in the past, I would rather learn from them and make a better decision the second time around. I don't regret my marraige, I am thankful for the good times, and for my daughters. Something simple, just a time to get to know one another to see if there is any connection... Dinner and a movie, walk in a park, sitting at Starbucks, grabbing a Subway, I'm easy, a spark will dictate what we do. Besides, we'll probally talk on the phone and email for a while, so I would expect to be able to make an informed decision that way...
