Rather than go on and on about how hard it is to talk about myself and blah blah blah (like it seems most others do on here) - here it is: I'm new to Barrie, looking to make friends, and to date those friends that I find I am attracted to. I have been described as "a character", "a nut", "a sweetheart", "a buddy", and "a trouper" (I've skipped the negative ones, but they would include "a handful" and/or "a challenge"). I'm very low-maintenance (hopefully not to a fault) and looking for someone who doesn't take themselves too seriously, but is up for intellectual conversation should the situation fit. Sounds cliche, but my goals and aspirations are pretty simple - to be happy. Just started a new job, figuring it all out, and getting to know the city a bit. As far as music goes, I love everything but classical and country, especially live shows. I've been known to strum a guitar now and then, but not for an audience. If you spend time with me you'll hear me sing, as I seem to know the words to every song from the past 40 years. I'm a sucker for Motown, 80's tunes and old school rap. Anyhew, not looking for an email buddy or a secret sex partner, so drop me a line if you are on the same page. Woah, that was a long blurb, can you tell I've never done this before? Nothing to be embarrassed about, though, right? Also, I know it's a tall order, but I have very little baggage and am looking for similar. Sorry if that's rude.

I've tended to date friends, and not gone the blind date route, so would expect some goofy awkwardness on my part to start (just advanced warning!) - best to probably keep it short, drinks are good (the old liquid courage is good for the nerves, but don't expect me to get wasted and fall into bed with you!!!) - lots of chatter and maybe some good tunes. Ooh and sushi too.
