Ok..what to say here..I am a divorced father of 2(they both live out of state - 18 +)
I pretty much just go to work and home,I like to try to get outside during time off and do something fun,but also like to hang inside on cold snowy nights(this is where a fireplace would fit in)and watch movies.
I also like to play pool when I go out,but don't dance much.

I would probably opt for the dinner and movie thing ,maybe a drink or something like mini golf,anything along those lines,you know try to make it fun,maybe even just sit and watch the sunset and talk.
