how to describe myself...

it's not easy to describe myself, so i will use some of the things my friends would say about me:

-smart: just because i don't have a piece of paper telling the world that i can understand what is going on, doesn't mean that i can't understand what's going on.

-kind: i believe that respect for life can be a good thing, so i don't go around causing trouble.

-honest: i don't believe that lying, especially to avoid hurting the feelings of those that are close, is constructive to any relationship.

-nice: the word says it all.

-shy: i am not comfortable in broadcasting myself for any reason, also i am not the type who needs constant attention.

-responsible: if it's my fault i will admit fault, if it's my responsibility i will honor it, if it's within my power i will fulfill my obligations.

-funny: i try to find any humor to those i feel that needs some cheering up.

-rich: in spirit and friendship.

that is as far as i can think in regards to what i am described by others.

people tell me that "there is a woman out there who might be my mate"...but i reserve judgment on that and say "i'll believe it when i see it." cynical, yes, but realistic. i would rather be surprised by being proven wrong than to be disappointed and be proven right. and i am right 98% of the time. and by the way, can SOMEONE be more specific when they say the word "Self Confidence" when it comes to idealized personality traits!?

to those people who are emotionally poor
and the witless wonders of the mass
so i just sit here letting time pass

the desire to find love is the strongest there is
but it gets defeated when they say things
by cruel and heartless words like "friend" and "nice"
makes me put my need for a soul mate on ice

maybe i am too sour
maybe i am too cold
but i know that if i try to break the ice
i hear the worst things that can be told

call me sad, call me pathetic
but the worst thing i often hear isn't what is meant
you will pass me over and look on for the one
and no feelings of truth will be sent

no real idea, you choose.
