Why can't we list, friends, dating, and long-term, instead of just one. I hate being pigeonholed. I am happy to make friends, to hang out, don't really like to date, but, would someday like to be part of a couple again. (no time soon!) I am a firm believer in the fact that all relationships take time to build, and start with a friendship. I am not rushing into anything. (learned a few things over the years) Thanks to all the cool guys that have become friends.. that has been the highlight of my experience here. I can't describe myself in this little box, and won't try. Like everyone, I'm mulitfaceted, so if someone is interested in knowing, the woman behind the pictures, then they have to start with an email, then talking on the phone. You learn a lot from a phone conversation.
Time for an update.. I do not expect to feel an instant, romantic, connection, within a few hours of meeting someone. I think that is probably a bad sign, to be honest. I do sometimes feel there is a possibility of there being one, further down the line, and yes.. I understand attraction, and like everyone else, I look for it. Being friends, (if that's where it ends up), means you still talk, doesn't it? I love my friends, and value them, so I don't consider being put in the friend zone, a put down.. it just means, I have a new person to possibly hang out with, and talk to.. I can totally be myself, with them, and they me. What is wrong with that? There is too much emphasis on, "chemistry". It isn't always instantanious. Maybe it's because we're on the Internet, and there are so many, (probably too many), choices, so, it pushes us to look for the, "perfect", person. Guess what.. none of us are perfect. And while I'm on my soap box.. I'm a bit confused by profiles, where the person rattles off, a laundry list, of activities they do, have a wonderful life, and are always happy.. Really? if so, why are you looking for a partner, on an Internet dating site? I would think you'd meet someone, while, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, wandering endless romantic beaches, jumping from planes, competing in triathalons, and saving the poor huddled masses. Can someone just write an honest profile, please? I'm here, because I don't get out into the real world as much, anymore, and therefor, don't meet new people. Now, why are you REALLY here?

Honestly, the first time I meet someone, I don't consider it a date. I am not interested in a long walk, on the romantic beach, as everyone else seems to already be there.. How they aren't tripping over one another is amusing, to me.. Just sayin'.. Oh smile, don't take me so seriously, I don't.
