I love to listen to music, all kinds pretty much with the exception of country. I tend to favor classic rock, R & B, but also enjoy Coldplay, Gwen Stefani, Nickelback, and others.

I enjoy watching movies - romantic comedy, action, thriller, and horror. I try to stay involved in physical activities like playing volleyball, softball or working out. I love my Chicago sports teams - White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks and those other guys. You know the minor league team, the Cubbies.

I do like to travel. I prefer short trips, 3 to 4 days. But every once in a while I like to get away for longer periods, especially if its someplace with a beach.

I still am an old fashioned kind of girl. Even though I've had to be independent for quite awhile, I still enjoy being treated like a lady. Yes, on occasion I can be the domestic goddess. I know how to make all of my fave Mexican dishes, just like mom.

I enjoy spending time with those that I feel are special to me. I think I'm a good listener and a great friend. Most of my family and friends love me for my loyalty and the fact that I don't judge them. They can always count on me to be there for them when needed.

I've been told that I have a wonderful sense of humor but I know when I need to get serious. Other hobbies are going to festivals, reading, getting into the tekkie geeky stuff, trying new restaurants, or just going someplace I've never visited.

Hmm first dates are difficult. I prefer to call them first meets. I also prefer to keep those casual. Maybe meet for coffee or a few drinks. I don't want anyone to feel obligated to spend a whole lot of time with me if there isn't any chemistry. I think its important to get to know someone by talking to them. So maybe meeting for lunch, or dinner and maybe going for a walk.
