About Me
I'm creative and very visual. I am deaf. I lipread and speak perfectly. I have two adorable kids who live at home most of the time. I place high importance to my family and my friendships, and as such, am very loyal to those who become close to me in my life. My children know the full advantages of deafness. Likewise, if you are prone to sneaking that extra cookie, blaring the TV, and perhaps playing the drums at night I probably won't find you out, either.
I am fun... maybe even funny at times. I love playing on words and catching the little absurdities of life. I enjoy finding others who are fun to be around, and who are also comfortable with themselves, and intelligent.
The man I'd enjoy meeting would also have a sense of humor and good communication skills. Someone who has a positive outlook and is respectful of others. Appreciation for the "finer" things in life that include the offbeat and unexpected at times. "Work hard/ play hard" is a good way to be, but also know how to relax and enjoy yourself.
First Date
A fun first date could be over coffee or casual dinner, to get acquainted and then find something to do. But don't ask me for "walks on the beach" unless you want me to do all the talking. I probably won't be able to understand you. Instead, a visit to the beach would be great, to hang out and enjoy ourselves. I love the ocean, especially when it's less crowded. I also appreciate rhe beach during stormy weather, now and then, just as I do on a beautiful day.

we are on another site together and i have pored over her pictures until i feel i know her kids and her home..and i have seen so many facets of her that i just fell in love every time i turned around..and yes that darn choclate cake is there to tempt me as well! lol she is going to have to bake me one someday..haha

 | Writer59 and I met playing backgammon online. Online friends often communicate more openly due to that separation from daily life. She and I had discussed much of our lives when I had lucky chance to meet her in person. We had great fun and both still laugh at a trigger word from that day.
First and foremost is that Writer59 is a person of good character and always seeking personal growth. I am sure her beauty, intelligence, wit, humor, education, and cooking ability will attract many but only an honorable man will win her heart. So there is your clue to this diamond of a woman.

And it was phenomenal to be there when she regained some of her hearing! There wasn't a dry eye in the house! All detailed in her powerful and authentic prose.
