I am still skeptical about the whole online dating thing but since several of my friends have met great people online, why not try it. You only go through life once can't have any regrets of would have or should haves. I work hard to get where I want to be, currently going for a Master's in Occupational Therapy. I spoil myself well but I am far from a spoiled person. I know what I want out of my life and I see no reason to wait for things when I am perfectly capable of doing for myself. I spend alot of time with family (my niece and nephew are the most important people to me) and friends. I enjoy going out and doing fun things. I prefer dive bars to clubs or fru fru lounges. I also like nights of staying in to cook and veg out with a movie, afterall if you go out all the time it loses its thrill real fast.
One of my biggest pet peeves are people who use words like DAWG and PHAT as part of their everyday speech and that is without joking. To me it's like fingernails grating down a chalkboard.
I would also love for someone to explain to me why they would rather spend 4 times the amount on a shoebox apt just to live in NYC rather than somewhere else for alot less, have a car and be able to get to NYC in under 20 minutes.

I enjoy going with the flow I am generally ok to do anything as long as I am not the one deciding. I don't like the pressure of worrying if others aren't having a good time. Typically a good first date is something casual, laid back like grabbing a drink or going for coffee where you can talk and get a feel for each other in person.
