I am a Father who is honest, generous, polite, intelligent, balding, funny plus other stuff, what is written below took ages and I am not sure if will do any good, please feel free to read on, it is just more about me in a bit more depth.....

I have cheeky streak and I do like to make people laugh, I like to make people smile. I enjoy doing favours for complete strangers. I can be a little sarcastic sometimes.

I would describe myself as honest, practical, logical, not very complicated, polite, a little shy, sometimes forgetful, and happy go lucky. I am quite well educated but useless in a pub quiz and some other things which elude me at this moment (that would be the forgetful bit kicking in then!).

OK OK keep this bit to yourself coz if it gets out I am in big trouble with the guys OK, I love shopping, for anything, shoes, clothes, you name it, just shopping in general. But keep stum OK!

I would like to think that I hold some old fashion values, I believe that you should have respect for your elders, doors should be held open for anyone, and that politeness costs nothing.
I drink very little, the picture with the beer was a surprise to quite few friends.
I am not a great telly lover, but when I do watch I prefer a documentary with some brain value to a soap or a football match (Football holds no interest for me)

So what am I looking for?
Someone who is a Driver in Life not a Passenger
Someone who is uncomplicated and comfortable with themselves.
Likes a good laugh and can be spontaneous given enough notice (has this thing got a spell checker?).
Does not live a million miles away (in other words; someone who is local, who can call and I can be there if needed at short notice for whatever reason).
Likes children and dogs.
Has a bit of a naughty streak, can give as good as they get, is cheeky and has lovely eyes (eyes do it for me).
Doesn't judge a person by the car they drive and who's life isn't driven by money and power.
Since the pictures were taken I have lost the facial hair, I have been told it makes me look younger, and I told them that Specsavers had an offer on! Oh and I love Spogs. What do you mean you don't know what Spogs are!

I dislike Liars and Cheats, and people who take advantage of another's generosity and bloody text speak.

Foot note: I am astounded at the number of women that like Reading, I have lived here for years and have never seen any of you in town ;o)

Update: Swindon, Winchester, Andover, Guildford are not local to Reading.
Yet another update: The "Within 75 Miles" is set by the system, not me (take a look at the two options) I can't change it. Please don't have a pop at me because I don't want to message you, it is nothing personal it is purely logistics. Distance does not allow two people to be spontanious lets be honest here. Winge over.

Your choice, whatever (don't you just hate that word) you would be comfortable with. Somewhere not too quiet as people tend to stare when a couple laugh aloud alot.

They say "One man's meat is another man's poison", I have by sheer chance spoken to some women on here (because they contacted me!), who on looking at their profiles I would have put them "Out of my league" and would never have made contact with (distance caused these contacts to go no further). We guys don't know what "Does it for most of you" and I suspect quite a few of you will not make the first move on principle even if you see something that takes your fancy. Girls it is OK to make the 1st move. Only you know what you really want.
