Good day! well... let's see. I'm not sure how one goes about summing themselves up in a couple of paragraphs? so, in the interest of annoying any/all former english profs... point form it is!

- I've recently moved back to the island, which although I wasn't born here.. & I've been away from for years, it has always been 'home'
- I've spent the last couple of years wandering the world, playing/writing music and trying to experience as many places as possible. (happy to say: barely scratched the surface. There's a lot of wandering left to do!)


Qualities I appreciate:

- a dry, sardonic sense of humor & razor sharp wit
- an ability to not take themselves (nor the rest of us) all that seriously ie. -embraces one's inner dorkiness! (lacking cool points? ..I know! but see below re: "cool")
- compassion (& a sense of humor) for the fact that we are all 'works in progress'
- an infectious laugh, a mischievous sparkle in the eye and an oft used smile

I ENJOY:
- people who have stories, AND (more importantly) an openness to tell them
- CBC radio
- Dexter, Weeds, Passionate Eye, the Debaters & docs from the library!
- people who agree that life is just way too short to always have to wear shoes!
- going to foreign train stations with no set destination in mind (yeah, well... that one can be kinda 'hit or miss' :)
- the company/wisdom/decency of dogs
- blues, bluegrass, celtic and old-time honky tonk music


WANTING TO MEET & SPEND TIME W/ PEOPLE WHO ARE LIFE-EXPERIENCED ENOUGH TO:

- value "being nice & fun" over "being cooool"
- agree that 'being rich' = friends, family and having $1 more than we actually need. It took me too many years finally figure that one out! (& sincerely, NO judgment on those who do enjoy the 'high-end' lifestyle/things -but personally, I found it to be unfulfilling.. & I'm probably not the guy for you. )
- know that the 'fairy tale' is just that! real life dictates that fairy tales usually come w/ evil step-sibling or two... (metaphorically speaking of course... as my sibs are great!)


I am truly enjoying this phase of my life! I'm not looking for any radical change/fix.. I'm seeking augmentation. Whether that be meeting a new friend or (if it feels right) more. But I'm not into the whole bar scene thing. So I figure: internet.. take a risk? -why not?

ps. - on the subject of photos.. just for a little clarification: No, I don't always wear a dorky looking cowboy hat and pose with a guitar. But after an unfortunate life lesson learned (ie: laptop keyboard = bad place to store 1/2 bottle of water!) that's all I've got left. any hard drive recovery experts out there? :)

well, i guess the correct answer would be: a walk on the beach at sunset with wind-proof candles, a full bodied yet unpretentious bottle of merlot ..and with a band of harp playing angels following closely behind! But the real answer would be: Whatever!, as long as it includes fun, laughter, wandering aimlessly ( & hopefully ) a connection that makes a long walk, way too short.
