I'm a young and fit 51 year old professional (most say I look at least 10 years younger). Although I never grew up wanting to be a teacher, it seems that is part of who I am; I'm a professor, martial arts instructor, certified firearms instructor, and former skydiving instructor. I am an avid outdoorsman who loves to hike, fish, backpack, camp, canoe and kayak. I have three wonderful kids who also love to enjoy nature's bounty, and we spend as much time appreciating it as we can.

If I must be indoors, I enjoy reading and watching movies, especially thrillers. I used to be a tournament chess player, and have just recently started playing again with my kids. I'm winning so far, but they are pretty sharp and catching on fast :).

I believe we grow only by challenging our bodies, hearts and minds. I'm looking for someone who has the same philosophy and who believes that the best part of their life is yet in front of them. I'd like to find someone who also enjoys outdoor activities, believes campfires, starlight, sunsets and sunrises trump electricity anyday, adores kids, craves chocolate and coffee, has a sense of humor and can appreciate mine, loves to snuggle on the couch with buttered popcorn to enjoy a good movie, loves to snuggle on the couch WITHOUT buttered popcorn or a movie :), and considers kisses and caresses a necessary part of daily life
