i love to go out dancing, but most of my friends don't anymore. i hate censoring myself but i have to because i'm a teacher. i'm getting my phd, but i can't wait to finish so i can just take classes for fun. i love to skateboard but i feel bad that i don't wear a helmet.

i meditate almost everyday but i exercise more than i meditate and it bothers me. i love to write in my journal, but if i like it then i always type it into my computer. i'm an insomniac but i insist on getting 8 hours of sleep. i'm obsessed with efficiency but i adore cobble stones and will go out of my way to walk on streets paved with them.

i love photography. i love rome. i love nutella.

i like to pretend i'm in a novel. in my novel everything is very symbolic and the weather often mimics the mood in a blatant and obvious allusion to shakespeare. i like to think of myself as a character in a tom robbins' novel but often find myself in a woody allen film.

i worship the moon just as much as the sun and i have a preoccupation with venus. i get a kick out of the fact that when there is no moon, venus casts a shadow, except of course when you live in manhattan where even the moon fails to cast a shadow against the street lights. poor venus.

movies: a clockwork orange, pulp fiction, the matrix, waking life, american beauty, eyes wide shut, reservoir dogs, yojimbo, star wars, scent of a woman, trainspotting, sexy and fury, super troopers, lord of the rings, kevin smith movies, marx brothers movies.

i would like to meet up and get to know each other because you can't really get much from the internet. i find that until i look a person in the eyes in real life, see the way they move, and get a sense of their energy (is that too hippy?) then i don't really know if i like them or not.

on a first date i would be happy to:go dancing, talk over tea, get a drink, go to a museum, take a walk, or get lunch. this is by no means an exaustive list and i imagine what i would really like to do depends on who you are.
