About Me
I’m Christie, I’m 22, and I live in downtown Chicago. Born and raised in Minnesota, I’m a lively combination of Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, French, Irish, and Scandinavian ancestry. I have four tattoos - a Buddha, lotus flower, Om symbol, and karma wheel. I’m in my final year of undergrad, attending Roosevelt University for psychology and biology. I am presently a research assistant, working with imaging technology and brains of those with neurological impairment.
Eventhough school and work take up a lot of my time, I try to have a life! I love to do a variety of different things. Whether it's a night in watching movies, a Sunday brunch, or just chatting, I love spending time with friends and family. Traveling is one of my favorite pasttimes -- I have been to Europe and Asia. Studying abroad and living abroad in Denmark was possibly one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. I've definately been hit with the travel bug and want to do more of it. I also love wandering around Chicago. This is my third year in Chicago and I'm still discovering all kinds of awesome places here!
My friends describe me as passionate, feisty, a go-getter, sponataneous, open-minded, compassionate, tolerant, and goal-oriented kind of girl. I live by Gandhi's saying of "you must be the change you want to see in the world". I'm an optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. Giving up is not an option for me, I always make it to the finish line. Since we only have one life to live, I believe in living life to the fullest. No regrets! I’ll definitely try anything once.
If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. I’m an open book. :-)
