Life is full of many fun and interesting things to try, don't you think? I enjoy sprinkling my life with new experiences to keep me growing, make me feel more alive and awaken me to new possibilities. At the core, I search for a balance between activities, goals, reflection, relaxation and relationships with family and friends. I'm enthusiastic, patient, and creative with a curious side, a goofy side, a serious side, and a compassionate side. (Hmmm, that's 4 sides... this is what it must feel like to be in a Picasso painting;-)

I'm an accomplished athlete (cycling), and enjoy hiking and skiing... with a little tennis sprinkled in. I have traveled the world promoting green technologies as an engineer, and have lived overseas. One important aspect of my life is to expand my horizons by learning new things. This can be in the form of taking a class, learning to fly (former professional pilot), reading a book (I love books that open the mind and broaden one's perspectives - psychology, spirituality, philosophy, consciousness studies...) playing and piano, learning to see beauty by way of a camera lens, meeting new people, creative self expression through the written word... Every time I learn something new, I feel like I gain a higher appreciation for all that life has to offer.

In terms of a long-term relationship, I am looking for a partner to build a life with, a buddy to enjoy all that life has to offer, and a teammate to stick by and to stick by me when life throws its inevitable curve balls. Common hobbies are great, but, I think even more important are similar life philosophies such as compassion for others, a love of learning, finding the fun and laughter in each day, the ability to listen and learn from each other, and a healthy and active lifestyle. We sparkle when we are together. Our conversation flows effortlessly. We laugh a lot and enjoy the harmony in our relationship. We are comfortable sharing our thoughts and feelings with each other.

A great first date starts with a great glass of wine, good food and easy conversation. We laugh. We think. We eat. We drink. What could be better?
