So, who's looking for the following?
* intelligence
* compassion
* good listener
* ageless good looks

I consider myself to be a "rare bird," and I'm not necessarily looking for the same, but rather someone who "gets me."

While I am in touch with my sensitive side, I also like to do guy stuff. For me there are three seasons: football, hockey and convertible.

A couple of clarifications: "Smoking" in my case is a pipe. I do smoke often, but if something's going on and I can't smoke (e.g. plane flight), it's no big deal. For religion, I would have selected "Spiritual but not religious," but that's not an option on this site.
"Some college" is three years at Harvard (ran out of money). My education has been continuous ever since, just not formal.

I don't think the "laundry list" approach really works, but I do have some requirements and preferences:
* Independence, openness and honesty are absolute requirements.
* A sense of humor is always appreciated.
* I find that most people have something interesting to talk about, but I do prefer women who have at least some similar interests.
* I prefer a slim-to-average build.
* Long hair is a plus.
* I prefer women of Caucasian, European or Middle Eastern descent.

An ideal first date for me would involve meeting at a coffee shop for a chat. Dinner works too, or dancing. The important thing is having a chance to talk.
