Basically, I moved here to Sarasota this past summer 2009 to continue on to my third year of medical school. Usually when I'm not doing things for school I am eating dinner with friends, watching movies, going to the beach where I like to play frisbee, or swimming laps in the pool. (I also just chill at home sometimes and try out random things like this dating website) My new current adventure is getting other people who also aren't that good at tennis to play with me.

I am lucky in the sense that I have made great strides towards my professional goals. I haven't chosen what specialty as a doctor (maybe Anesthesiology?) I want to be yet, but I'm pretty much guaranteed to get my M.D. in 2011. I'm giving all areas/specialties that I can a fair shot and keeping my options open. Another main goal is to find that right girl. I'm in no rush to settle down with just anyone. I want to end up with someone that impresses me and that is impressed by me in return. That being said I just want to have fun at first...don't want it to get too serious too fast (and then have too much pressure early on).

What makes me unique...well if I want to be really dorky I could point out the fact that what makes us all unique is that we have different genetics and different life experiences. I'm pretty laid back but at the same time I'm not flaky. I'd like to think I have a good sense of humor. (I've never seen someone write that they had a bad one so I guess that doesn't make me unique, but I like joking around a lot. My profile is misleadingly not funny.)

I like attractions to be mutual...I don't want to be the only one expressing interest. I care more about how smart you are than what educational background you have. Good conversation, politeness, and kindness matters a lot to me. I don't want a prude and I don't want the town bicycle. There also needs to be that superficial/chemical attraction. The best way to summarize what I want is a good, balanced person.

If you're bored - some funny things I've noticed in people's profiles (otherwise skip this):
1) The girl who puts her main picture up with another girl in the picture - I'm not really sure of the strategy of putting your hotter friend next to you...
2) Face only photos - This should be a red flag to guys and girls alike...it usually means beware of the body. Not a single picture in their collection shows it. A double red flag is in effect if it says "Prefer not to say" on body type. Just be honest.
3) Snobby/Neurotic girl - This is the girl who never really wants to find a guy that would work well with her on here, but she wants attention and reassurance. She takes pleasure in ignoring guys for whatever reason she can find. Also, she probably has a slutty picture up.
4) The "smart" girl - She only wants smart guys and tries to make clever comments on her profile to "rub it in". Tha problam iz dat she has meny speling erors like dis da whole way tru.
5) "You never read my profile" girl - Maybe you should have spent more time saying something of interest rather than going on and on about people not reading your profile and/or complaining the whole time. Or maybe you should have reconsidered what kind of guys you would attract with that picture you put up.
6) The Party Girl - whose every picture is of her with 4 girlfriends sticking her chest and butt out as much as possible and holding a martini or a cigarette. It's sooo hot...like the thought of kissing an ash tray full of tequila slammers.

I like the first date to not even really be called a date at all. I think the word date just puts more pressure on the situation. I just want it to be something where I can get to know someone. Movies are bad for the first date because you can't talk at all (and therefore can't get to know each other). I like to take things slow and just have fun...I'm not looking for love at first sight.

I understand dinners/coffee/etc are not the most interesting places to meet someone, but I think it's important to be able to get along with someone in a boring place where it's up to both of you to make it fun. I'd love to go on a bungee jumping date (which I've never done), but I think that's better for dates down the road.
