I like to read books about World War II history and history in general. I like movies that are what most would refer to as of the "classic" genre. I also enjoy sports, most notably football. I follow the Ohio State Buckeyes and I'm still smarting over their loss to Florida in the 2006 Championship game. I work at the local school district in their maintenance department. It is my aspiration to reach the highest level of management in that department. As far as what makes me unique, I have significantly impaired eyesight. I cannot drive as a result. I therefore must make up for that in other ways. I have an acute sense of hearing so I enjoy music (mostly rock and roll and country) though I play no instruments. I also know how to listen as opposed to simply hear.

I feel the most important thing on a first date is the exchange of information. I want to know what is important to the lady I'm seeing. I want to know her political leanings, where she finds truth, her religious persuasion and most importantly, whether she's a Michigan Wolverine fan such that she would automatically be disqualified from further consideration :). I also need to know her habits concerning such things as drinking (social drinking being acceptable) and smoking (which is in no way acceptable at any level). With this in mind, the first date would consist of dinner at a comfortable location so that this information could be exchanged (I want her to know as much about me as is possible so that she can make an informed decision as to whether to go out with me again). This would probably be followed by a movie or maybe a play if one is playing at the Bob Carr or the Shakespeare place in Winter Park. Nothing like MacBeth or Hamlet to get all nice and cheery. Beyond that, it would depend largely on my luck.
